Ellie loves music ... She has Kindermusic every Thursday morning ... But when I turn her music on at home ... she starts dancing ... It's so cute ... She waves as she does this because the first song on her CD is the "hello hello" song for class ....

Ellie has really gotten into her books lately ... This particular day she decided to sit on Daddy's chest while he read to her ... It was so funny because every time he stopped, she would turn around and point to his mouth ....

Poteet Strawberry Festival

Last weekend we went to the Poteet Strawberry Festival ! It was a beautiful day and we had a great time !

Petting Zoo ... At first Ellie wasn't to sure about the goats ... which surprised me because she is not scared of the horses at Boots and Banty's house ...

If you look closely you can see she has one finger out ... when she did decide to touch them ... it was with that one little finger :)

Nena came to have a nice relaxing visit ... but little did she know we were going to drag her out to the strawberry festival ! Thanks for going with us Nena ...

This is the Sahawe Indian Dancers ... They did a great job ... they are made up of members from a boy scout troop from Uvalde... They actually research and create their own costumes and perform several different dances ! They did a great job !

Ellie's New Toy

Ellie liked her friend Caleb's 4 wheeler so much that her Daddy went and bought her one ... but of course hers is pink and purple ! She loves it ! And she drives a little like her Cousin Emmy ... she doesn't always look where she's going !

Ice Cream & Popsicles

This weekend Ellie and her friend Caleb were playing outside and Caleb shared one of his Popsicles with her .... As you can tell ... she loved it ...
it started out nice and frozen ... but as you can see it took her a while to eat it and it was completely melted ...

While Uncle Chris, Aunt KK, and Cousin Owen were here ... we decided to all get ice cream from the ice cream truck ... Something that was just as fun for us adult considering its been years since we've done this ...

I got Ellie a push-up-pop thinking that this would be easier and maybe less messy for her to eat ... yeah ... I was wrong ! :)

No big deal ... I'll just pick it up :)

A Few Days In The Life Of Ellie

Well ... she has officially learned how to take off her own diaper ... you can imagine how bad this could be ... She thinks it's so funny and always wants to hand it to me before I get her out of bed ... Obviously ... she now has to always wear pants to bed. She usually does anyway ... but no more cute little night gowns for now ...

I always check on her one more time before I go to bed ... This particular night I found her feet hanging out ...

She been working really hard at using her fork ... She doesn't want a spoon anymore ... she wants a fork so she actually stab the food ...

At snack time I usually give her a animal cracker... well actually one for each hand ... On this particular day... she fussed and fussed to carry the box around ... well a few minutes later I figured out why ... she had to get Cooper a snack too ....

This picture was taken one afternoon when Mommy was trying to was clothes ... I was in the laundry room scrubbing some stains out and she had been fussing at my feet ... I promised her Mommy would hurry and then all of a sudden I realized she had gotten really quite ... (not a good sign) She had gotten into her diaper bag ... The day before I had to take her to the doctor for another ear check so I had put hand full of M&M's and Reese's into a baggie ... they were my emergency back up plan if the doctor appointment got long or bad ... well needless to say ... she had eaten the entire bag .... you can see a little of the M&M colors on her face ....
